Katrina Mathers

Katrina Mathers is a Melbourne-based writer, actor and award-winning filmmaker. 

As an artist, Katrina's been commissioned to create work for an indepenent film (by Zev Howley) as well as private portraits, t-shirt art and many moving image collaborations with fellow artists, most noteably with Josie Wadelton. 

Katrina won first prize at the Royal Melbourne Show for portraiture, her images have been featured on a magazine cover (Trouble Magazine) and she has work held in permanent collection by her high school (MGGS). Some of her films are held in the permanent collections at the National Film and Sound Archive in Australia, Stadtbibliothek Stuttgart Online Animation Library in Germany, Centro Experimental de Animación Video Archives at the National University of Córdoba in Argentina and in the 3D ArtFutura Official Catalogues which are held at: New York's MOMA and Guggenheim Museums, selected libraries in Tokyo, Los Angeles, Sydney, Hong Kong and London.

Katrina exhibits every now and then in local shows including the Linden Gallery Postcard exhibition and regularly in group shows alongside fellow 106 artists.
